Burj Khalifa
At 828 metres, the Burj Khalifa remains the world's tallest building — a tapering column of glass and steel that dominates the Dubai skyline from every direction. The observation decks at floors 124 and 148 (At the Top SKY) offer views across the full sweep of Dubai: the city to the north, the desert to the south, and the Gulf glittering on every horizon on a clear day. The Dubai Fountain below — the world's largest choreographed fountain — performs every evening at 6pm, 6:30pm, and then every half hour until midnight; watching the show from the Burj Khalifa's base boardwalk is one of Dubai's signature free experiences.
